THE STORY BEHIND THE VIDEO
October 11, 2002
Kepi contacted Joe Gillis six days before the Groovie Ghoulies left on tour to see about doing a music video for them. Joe then contacted Odin Abbott, and they bounced ideas off each other, coming up with the concept built around existing sets, props, and costumes.
October 12, 2002
After playing phone tag for a day, Joe got a hold of the Ghoulies and they decided to shoot the video before they went on tour.
October 13, 2002
Joe spent the day writing the script before he met with the Ghoulies that night to pitch them the full idea of what he wanted to do. The Ghoulies loved the idea.
October 14, 2002
The Ghoulies showed up at Joe’s studio and began shooting around 8 o’clock that night. The Ghoulies shot until 5 am. Joe and crew finished up around 9 am.
October 15, 2002
Joe went home and got a little sleep. Then he went over to Odin’s house that night to edit. He worked through the night, determined to get it done before the Ghoulies left on tour the next day.
October 16, 2002
Joe finished editing around 11 am. He showed Kepi the finished video with temp ship effects at 2pm—a few hours before they left.
October 17, 2002
Odin finished the ship effects, and the video was officially done.
